Harald Rackel appointed COO of the SSI SCHAEFER Group
The Advisory Board of the SSI Schaefer Group has appointed Harald Rackel as COO of the SSI Schaefer Group. Rackel will take up his position on October 1.
Harald Rackel has been CEO of Elexis AG and Spokesman of the Management Board of EMG Automation GmbH in Wenden, Siegerland, since 2018. Elexis AG is part of the SMS Group and, according to SSI Schaefer, is the international market leader in the manufacture of automation and quality assurance systems. After initial positions in the hot and cold rolling mills and process and quality management divisions, Harald Rackel took over as Head of the Electrical Systems and Automation division at SMS Group in 2007. He became a member of the Executive Board in 2013. Until the beginning of 2018, Harald Rackel was also responsible for the digitalization strategy of the SMS Group and its subsidiaries.
