German Bionic
Exoskeleton with AI power
Robotics company German Bionic presents its most advanced exoskeleton model to date, called 'Exia', which is fully controlled by augmented AI.
The exoskeleton was developed on the basis of billions of real application data from industry, manufacturing, logistics, airports, retail and healthcare. The exoskeleton is designed as a universal solution and, according to the manufacturer, can be used flexibly in almost any working environment.
German Bionic has redesigned Exia from the ground up, with state-of-the-art hardware architecture and optimized control software. By using real data from real work situations, it offers exoskeleton support with dynamic relief of up to 38 kg for a wide range of applications. However, according to the provider, it is not only stronger and lighter, but also smarter: based on real data, the exoskeleton anticipates the needs of the people using it and adapts the support in real time. It learns from the user's movements and their environment, recognizes movement patterns, interprets the context and reacts immediately as required - by providing support when lifting, walking, carrying or working in a bent-over position.
"The Exia is groundbreaking in the field of human augmentation," says Armin G. Schmidt, CEO and co-founder of German Bionic. "Our technology is based on years of development work, the experience of all the many workers who already work with our technology and billions of data points from real working life. Exia doesn't just react, and it doesn't just think. It learns from people, along with each individual movement. In this way, it adapts more and more and continues to develop in the interaction between people and their respective activities."
Seamless networking
All exoskeletons are complemented by the German Bionic Connect app, which has been further developed and improves the user experience. It is available for iOS and Android and provides detailed performance data such as the number of steps taken, weight lifted and duration of use. The app enables direct feedback and qualitative feedback via a bidirectional communication channel. This continuous cycle of input and optimization ensures a personalized user experience that adapts ever more closely to actual individual requirements. By connecting employees more closely with the technology used, the app strengthens the sense of responsibility, makes workplaces safer and promotes the acceptance of exoskeleton technology.
In addition to the app and the exoskeletons, German Bionic's 360° human augmentation approach also includes the German Bionic IO data insight platform and other human-machine interfaces. Together, they form a comprehensive system that enables ergonomic analyses in real time, targeted monitoring of all activities as well as their optimization and detailed evaluations - all via an intuitive, user-friendly dashboard. Fleet management is also efficiently supported. The system is supplemented by a video-based academy with tutorials for introduction and professional tips.
