The Smart-Flexdepot is an automated storage and picking system with chaotic, volume-optimized storage using the shuttle principle. The system has been nominated as materialfluss Product of the Year 2025 in Category 1: Storage and picking technology.
With the Smart-Flexdepot, storage takes place on mobile load carriers in the drawer system, on whose surface the products are placed dynamically. All products have individual storage locations and can be stored and retrieved quickly through direct access (storage time from 6 seconds / retrieval time from 8 seconds).
The intelligent, flexible height design ensures optimum packing density. Simple manual removal of stored goods is possible at any time, even in the event of a malfunction. Intelligent motor technology and consistent usable volume optimization ensure precise, low-noise technology with high storage density in a small space. Permanent stock reconciliation between the picking machines and the merchandise management system avoids stock shortages and the depot's intelligent software offers complex content management options such as daily stocktaking, automatic retrieval of expiring products and much more.
