The first vehicles will be delivered at the beginning of next year. The vision is to combine lightweight construction with significantly more power, thereby creating maximum productivity. "As a pioneer of lightweight construction, we say: Lightweight alone is not enough for us. We want to establish a new standard," says CEO Roland Hartwig, outlining the vehicle concept at the announcement of the

The Power Line comprises five vehicle types: Cargo for general pallet loading, Paper and Coil with special designs for transporting paper and steel, the Mega variant with greater interior height and more loading volume, and the long semi-trailer with a loading area that is 1.3 meters longer. The five types are offered in 25 variants. They are all based on a modular system with newly designed assemblies from the frame to the body. This makes it possible to provide every user with a vehicle tailored to their requirements in order to achieve greater productivity. "We are the largest European niche provider, and we can play to our strengths here better than in standard construction. We serve those hauliers who demand more performance from their vehicles and are not satisfied with standard."

The first distinguishing feature of the new long-haul trucks is the reduced frame neck height from 150 to 125 mm, which improves the interior height and increases the load volume. The next plus point: the forklift axle load reaches 7,200 kilograms instead of the previous 5,460 kilograms. The frame is correspondingly more resilient and loading is faster. And, of course, the Power Line is manufactured in a lightweight design: The Power Line Cargo, for example, is 800 kilograms lighter than a standard market vehicle. Schwarzmüller achieves this weight saving by optimizing the welding seams and frame geometry, among other things. Further advantages result from the new body. These include a lightweight sandwich front wall, more lashing holes in the outer frame, a new rear door lock with plastic handle and lifting loops on the tarpaulin poles for easier handling, improved side protection and smooth-running center pillars with greater strength.
