Major order
BTK Logistik relies on over 50 new Kögel trailers
BTK Befrachtungs- und Transportkontor GmbH, headquartered in Rosenheim, Bavaria, is replacing part of its existing fleet of over 180 trailers with more than 50 new Kögel LightPlus vehicles. With almost 80 years of experience, 15,000 square meters of logistics space and 290 employees, BTK is an internationally active transport and logistics company for full and part loads as well as general cargo. BTK is also a member of the European Association of International Freight Forwarders (E.L.V.I.S. AG) and the Europe-wide general cargo network International Logistics Network (ILN).
The 50 new LightPlus trailers of the Novum generation are equipped with the new Kögel outer frame profile and body as standard. This makes it possible to lash the load in the Vario-Fix perforated steel outer frame, for example, even if there are aluminum slats in the depot. The 13 pairs of lashing brackets included as standard have lateral grip hooks for easier handling and have a tensile force of 2,500 kilograms. For more payload, the front wall including the front volume corner stanchions, the rear corner stanchions and the rear wall portal door are made of aluminum as standard. Naturally, the Kögel LightPlus trailers have the DIN EN 12642 Code XL load securing certificate.
To further reduce the weight of the vehicles, BTK has opted for roof bows and air tanks made of aluminum. A total of four rows of aluminum insertion slats, distributed over the height of the stanchions, keep the load where it belongs and protect the tarpaulin at the same time. The vehicle's floor load capacity has been increased to 7,200 kilograms thanks to a reinforced frame. In order to withstand daily ramp use, a 720 millimeter long steel ripple drive-over plate is mounted on top of the rear end beam as floor protection. The rear of the vehicles is fitted with rubber bumpers for increased collision protection. An eight-millimetre-thick transverse steel bracket across the entire width and a locking cam guard in the middle of the frame end plate complete the impact protection. Further individual equipment includes an ADR certificate including the corresponding equipment, an axle lift for the first axle, two pallet stowage boxes, toolboxes and much more.
