Krauser: The importance of green logistics is constantly growing. It's not just about complying with EU regulations, but also about the requirements of end customers who expect products from a sustainable supply chain. We at Knapp are aware of our responsibility and make a significant contribution to the implementation of sustainable practices in our company. Environmental impact can be minimized and profitability increased along the entire value chain. For example, sustainable logistics practices reduce emissions, efficient warehousing and intelligent order picking reduce energy consumption, and resources can be conserved thanks to sustainable materials management.
materialfluss: To what extent is your company driving forward the topic of green logistics?
Krauser: As a strong partner, we strive not only to support our customers in complying with legal requirements, but also to provide them with the right tools with our customized software and automation solutions in order to achieve long-term success and sustainability in their business areas. Specifically, we focus on energy-optimized control and sustainable "right-sized" packaging solutions. US retailer Walmart, for example, saves around 30% on cardboard and packaging material with our solutions. Furthermore, our customers can use the data obtained from our KiSoft logistics software suite to independently monitor and optimize theCO2 emissions of their processes.
