Trafö conveyor systems: For gentle transportation in the warehouse
HS Umformtechnik, a manufacturer of stainless steel pipe bends with large radii, invested in a fully automated long goods warehouse from logistics specialist Trafö. The company designed a long goods warehouse that accommodates a total capacity of around 720 tons of stainless steel tubes on just 180 square metres. The 21-metre-high long goods warehouse holds 240 system cassettes and was built as a silo structure outside the existing production hall and connected to production in order to preserve the production area within the building. The storage system is loaded via a transverse trolley, which can be loaded outside the facility. Devices on the storage station allow the cassettes to be loaded directly with the forklift. The sensitive pipes are loaded and transported gently.
