Current forecasts predict growth of around 60% to a total of almost 3 billion dollars by 2026. With the Case Picking System and the intelligent Wamas Case Picking software module, retailers and wholesalers are able to ensure delivery quality despite increasing market demands. It enables the fully automated compilation of a product range for store-specific delivery. Automated robot picking with Wamas Case Picking offers advantages, particularly for sectors with a differentiated range of articles in the picking and construction of order pallets. This applies primarily to food wholesalers, but also to non-food segments or areas with sensitive merchandise. To create the "perfect pallet", the sequenced feeding of all associated units to the palletizing cell is necessary. The Warehouse Management System Wamas WMS and the Material Flow System Wamas MFS are used in an integrated Wamas software environment to ensure that goods are retrieved from the picking warehouse in the correct sequence and transported to the palletizing robots in the optimized sequence. The stand-alone concept of the fully integrated robot cells enables autonomous commissioning, thereby reducing installation costs and throughput times. It also enables easier maintenance and troubleshooting without affecting the surrounding system. Users benefit from this not only during initial installation, but also during ongoing operation. Machine learning and optimized, high-performance algorithms are key elements of Wamas Case Picking and ensure the productivity of picking robots. Using the latest algorithms from AI and 3D image processing, robots can not only repeat predefined motion sequences, but also react according to the situation, which increasingly qualifies them for more complex intralogistics application scenarios.
