SSI Flexi Shuttle nominated as best industrial product
The SSI Flexi single-level shuttle from SSI Schaefer has been nominated for the Best of Industry Award in the "Material Flow" category. At the end of last year, the product design of the SSI Flexi was already honored with the German Design Award 2019 in the "Industry" category.
The SSI Flexi was presented for the first time at the intralogistics trade fair LogiMAT 2018. With this product, SSI Schaefer offers a solution for modular, individually tailored system concepts with efficient space utilization. In combination with lifters and racking systems, the scalable single-level shuttle stands for highly dynamic processes in automated small parts warehouses. Its functional diversity enables the storage of a wide range of transport units and dimensions weighing up to 50 kg, even under deep-freeze conditions. "High dynamics, functional added value and excellent design," says Peter Berlik, Managing Director Technology at SSI Schaefer, emphasizing the advantages of the product. "Our development department already considers the SSI Flexi to be one of the best industrial products." The shelving concept with dynamically adaptable storage space sizes, the elimination of permanently assigned x-storage positions and the needs-based scalability of lifters and shuttles also enable high storage density and efficient throughput rates.
