adidas Group automates with Knapp
The adidas Group, an international player in the sporting goods industry with its brands adidas and Reebok, has commissioned Knapp to automate its new eCommerce center in Rieste near Osnabrück. By providing a new all-in shuttle solution, Knapp supports the adidas Group in the handling of its eCommerce goods traffic and thus enables the growth of the business as well as a flexible response to the requirements of the sporting goods industry. At peak times, more than 350,000 products leave the Group's largest distribution center worldwide every day. The expansion of the distribution center and the automation solution provided by Knapp enable the processing of eCommerce orders. In addition to the huge delivery volumes that need to be managed and the constantly changing product range, the adidas Group focuses above all on customer service. The throughput times and flexibility of the solution were therefore decisive factors in the selection of the system.
