Warehouse and material flow management
PSI Software for Rossmann in the Czech Republic
PSI is implementing an integrated warehouse and material flow management system for Rossmann in the Czech Republic. The new logistics center near Prague is scheduled to go into operation at the end of 2026.
PSI Polska Sp. z o.o. is supplying the warehouse management system 'PSIwms' and the material flow control system 'PSImfc' for the new Rossmann logistics center near Prague. The aim is to set up a modern, fully integrated logistics infrastructure for a Rossmann store. The logistics center with over 30,000 square meters of space is designed for growth and supports both stationary retail and the rapidly growing e-commerce.
55,000 rack spaces in the three-story warehouse
Among other things, the facility comprises 22,500 SKUs, 26,000 pallet spaces and 55,000 rack spaces in a three-storey warehouse. An automated conveyor system bundles packaging and quality control processes, while PSIwms supports around 250 employees per shift in the warehouse processes. SSI Schaefer is the general contractor for the automation project.
The PSI software is integrated into existing systems such as pick-by-voice, pick-by-light, transport management, ERP and online sales solutions. In addition, video surveillance contributes to faster and more precise complaint processing.
"We were looking for a solution that not only ensures efficient control of the flow of goods, but can also be seamlessly integrated into the various existing applications. PSIwms and PSImfc meet these expectations and offer us flexibility and process reliability," emphasizes Tomáš Pimpara, Logistics Director at Rossmann, Czech Republic.
For PSI Polska, this is already the second collaboration with Rossmann following a project in Hungary.
