Among other things, the company is presenting a new type of live tracking system that displays the current vehicle position in real time. In the telematics portal, the dispatcher can see how the vehicle is moving on the map without any time delay. This enables them to help find the right loading ramp on confusing company premises, for example.

Digitization for more transparency

In addition, Trendfire's telematics system can now be used to integrate vehicles with electric drives. Other innovations and further developments relate to the digitalization and automation of everyday tasks. These include further improved data collection via the telematics app or the extended automated alarm system, and the route module in the telematics portal has also been expanded.

Live localization possible

The new live tracking function can be temporarily activated for each vehicle in the telematics portal. The difference to classic vehicle tracking lies in the data transmission: The location data is sent via an M2M network protocol (machine-to-machine communication). Compared to data transmission via mobile radio, this has the advantage that the vehicle positions are displayed in real time without delay.

Another new feature at Trendfire is that electric vehicles can now also be monitored via the telematics portal. This has long been possible for LNG-powered vehicles. For the integration of e-trucks or electrically powered vans, their FMS interface can be read out remotely as usual. The movement and vehicle data is immediately available in Trendfire's telematics portal. In addition, Trendfire is continuously working on the integration of further vehicles and is collaborating with various trailer manufacturers.

The company is also focusing on the user-friendliness of the telematics app and portal. Drivers are guided and supported step by step when recording data during the tour. This process has been further improved. Dispatchers can now create tours even more easily via the telematics portal and send them to the vehicles.
