More transparency in warehousing

Thanks to independently developed software, Warespace links 120 locations with five million square meters of warehouse space in 27 countries for decentralized order placement. The spin-off from company builder Cargo Digital World (CDW) has been on the market as a separate company since the beginning of April this year.

"With our products, we can provide logistics managers in industry and retail with tailored solutions for storage and, if necessary, transport requirements," emphasizes Sebastian Richter, founder and Managing Director of Warespace. Sebastian Richter runs the Paderborn-based company together with Jonas Tritschallek, also co-founder and Managing Director. CargoLine's partner network and other medium-sized companies provide Warespace with a large amount of storage capacity in order to provide tailor-made services for customers' requirements. The Warespace solution can save up to 20 percent in outbound traffic for decentralized orders.

More resilience for supply chains

At the heart of the application is the Link web app: This serves as a standardized interface between customers and warehouses, including a dashboard, statistics, reporting and order management. It is supplemented by the Tenderspace platform, which can be used to quickly record and bundle warehouse logistics tenders and share them with warehouse locations. Palletspace can also be used to book available pallet spaces at short notice. In this way, storage bottlenecks can be overcome by including additional warehouses. In addition to very large projects, it can also be used to implement very small projects.

Environmental events, but also disruptions to the global movement of goods, repeatedly lead to failures or delays in supply chains. These and other risks, such as attacks on the IT infrastructure or rising transport prices due to tolls andCO2 pricing, are spread over several shoulders by the approach of a decentralized warehouse network, read companies, which increases the resilience of supply chains. "Warespace is the right offer, not least for major customers. The partnership between technology companies and SMEs is an absolute win-win situation. It opens up new sales channels for us SMEs. In return, we alone provide Warespace with access to over three million pallet spaces throughout Europe," says Bernd Schäflein, member of the advisory board of CDW anchor investor CargoLine and CEO of Schäflein AG, explaining the business model. "This is a clear indication that Warespace is a force to be reckoned with," he says, convinced of the start-up's independent market entry.
