RMD Logistics implements warehouse management system PSIwms
The logistics service provider RMD Logistics GmbH has commissioned PSI Logistics with the delivery of the warehouse management system PSIwms. PSI defines RMD as a reference and pilot partner at the same time. In addition, both companies sign a strategic cooperation agreement for the continuous further development of features and functionalities.
RMD Logistics, which specializes in logistics services for e-commerce, wholesale and advertising materials, is based in Mainaschaff and operates three locations in the Rhine-Main region with around 350 employees and almost 100,000 m² of logistics space. RMD's customer portfolio includes companies from various sectors and of various sizes - including Eintracht Frankfurt, Sport2000, Hugo Boss and Alcon. With PSIwms, the owner-managed family business is replacing a legacy system.
To achieve these goals, RMD Logistics and PSI Logistics have agreed on far-reaching strategic cooperation as part of the contract award. Under the agreement, RMD will be involved in the development of new features such as artificial intelligence methods with a mutual flow of information and exchange of experience as well as certifications as a reference project by the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics (IML). RMD is available as a pilot customer for the use of new software technologies in controlled live operation. The future partnership also includes cooperation with regional institutions such as the Aschaffenburg Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the Aschaffenburg Logistics Initiative and Aschaffenburg University of Applied Sciences.
