Optimizing the supply chain

Perfect packing with AI

When packing outgoing goods, things usually have to happen quickly. This process step is often not implemented optimally due to time constraints.

Packing materials that are too large are often chosen, which means that a lot of air is transported across all freight spaces. However, every cubic centimeter of air that is not packed saves not only on packaging material, but also on space in the truck, on the plane, in interim storage, in the shipping container and on the last mile.

Self-learning software

The software company TUP sees the inclusion of AI solutions as an effective lever for improving packing processes. The goal: fewer movements in the warehouse, less air in the package, less use of resources. Thanks to self-learning programs that repeatedly test the solution and optimize processes based on the target specifications, potential can be leveraged in existing intralogistics processes.
