MP Logistik relies on pL-Store WMS
In order to meet the growing demand for storage capacity and more sophisticated services, MP Logistik Rheine invests in a new branch in Emsbüren. The new building is completed within a very short space of time, as is the implementation of pL-Store, the Warehouse Management System (WMS) from proLogistik.
As a 3PL provider, MP Logistik specializes in warehousing services, especially for heavy and large loads, express logistics, part and full loads as well as sea and air freight and offers full services from a single source. The steadily increasing order volume was the decisive factor in expanding the existing warehouse capacities.
This is currently being implemented at full speed in Emsbüren, Lower Saxony, on an area of around 12,000 m². Initially, a block warehouse and a high-bay warehouse are planned for warehousing. At the same time, sections for handling, picking and packing will be created.
The implementation is scheduled for completion in the 1st quarter of 2022. Against this backdrop, swift action was also required when selecting the WMS implementation partner. The partner had to offer warehouse management software that was both suitable and standardized for the specific requirements of a logistics service provider, as well as have the necessary flexibility and manpower for rapid implementation. "The pL-Store WMS impressed us just as much as the broad expertise of the proLogistik team," says Andre Daub, Head of the Warehouse division. "Our task is to optimize our customers' core business in times of increasingly global trade. With a high-performance warehouse management system, we will also be able to meet the associated challenges in the future."
