The focus here is on the automation of plant and container management processes. Thanks to a new partnership with Quuppa, companies can now see exactly where which resources are located down to the meter at any time. leogistics provides the process expertise as well as tools for planning, analyzing and optimizing all processes. Quuppa contributes the intelligent tracking hardware. This combines the advantages of Bluetooth Direction Finding with its own technology to collect precise location data. Through this cooperation, the myleo / dsc logistics platform is making a further leap in development towards a comprehensive ecosystem that is open to a wide range of IoT scenarios with its interfaces and offers technology partners numerous opportunities to generate synergies.

"The yard management of the future is digitalized and automated. In order to live up to our claim of making myleo / dsc the leading supply chain management platform, we are now not only enabling asset tracking with the help of Quuppa, but also cooperating with all connected business partners and systems for optimized control of a wide variety of plant processes," says André Käber, CEO of leogistics GmbH.

Quuppa provides data on the location of equipment on factory premises

It is often unclear where equipment or loading devices are currently located on the factory premises or in the warehouse. The intelligent Quuppa Locating System is a powerful solution based on Bluetooth Direction Finding and proprietary algorithms to track objects and devices in near real-time with an accuracy of less than one meter. Quuppa is a leading provider of Real-Time Locating Systems (RTLS) with more than 2600 implementations in over 55 countries and over 200 partners worldwide. The Quuppa Positioning Engine creates detailed location profiles from the information on how the tracked objects move across the terrain and how long they stay where. With the help of the smart tools and apps from myleo / yard, the yard management module of myleo / dsc, companies can use these to identify process-related bottlenecks and eliminate critical processes in plant logistics.

"We are excited about this partnership and look forward to working with leogistics to expand our business across a variety of industries," says Thomas Hasselman, Chief Marketing Officer at Quuppa.

The new partner solution makes it possible to digitize the physical world. With this approach, leogistics is working with partners such as Quuppa to create an ecosystem that enables customers to understand, improve and automate their processes in the shortest possible time. This is achieved through workflows and control options in the cloud solution. The most efficient possible use of MAFIs, transfer vehicles or forklifts through continuous route optimization and order allocation are just a few examples of the numerous possibilities for optimization and automation based on real-time data within myleo / dsc. This is supported by various operational apps, seamless integration with Quuppa and, not least, the in-depth process expertise of leogistics GmbH.

Track and manage equipment, containers and co. using myleo / dsc

The Quuppa tags can be attached to any object such as forklift trucks - or to a wide variety of loading equipment such as IBCs, drums or pallets - and work reliably even under difficult conditions. Once installed, the system usually requires no physical maintenance and sends a notification if it needs attention. As a result, companies using returnable containers can gain a high level of process and location-based transparency over their load carriers with the help of Quuppa's RTLS technology and the new myleo / empties container management solution. The new myleo / dsc module offers clear management of loading equipment in the form of container accounts that can be balanced transparently between supply chain partners. Automated bookings in the yard are also possible on the basis of geofences and position-based tracking.
