Warehouse software
CIM software aims to solve returns problem
High returns rates are the order of the day in the mail order business. With a new release, the software specialist CIM now wants to make the returns received in the warehouse available for reshipment even faster.
The ProlagWorld software memorizes the goods data as soon as the goods are dispatched. If a configured reason for return is specified later, the returns are automatically stored in the appropriate storage area. Together with the maintenance module, the returns can either be sent for maintenance (where the packaging is replaced) or to the workshop (if the item needs to be repaired) and, in the latter case, a workshop order can also be generated. Thanks to the revised returns management module, incoming returns can be handled as a separate area of the goods receipt. This makes returns processing more efficient and returns are quickly returned for resale.
Software categorizes returns
ProlagWorld creates a possible return in the background when the order is dispatched. When the goods are received again, the employee simply scans the returns number and all the data for the parcel sent is immediately displayed in the warehouse software. The returns reasons that can be configured in the software ensure that the goods are automatically returned to the correct storage area, such as the warehouse, quality assurance or reprocessing. The returns module in the software differentiates between all types of complaints that are due to faulty deliveries or faulty goods. The module also takes into account return deliveries and remnants resulting from special agreements with customers. The system also takes into account empties that are subject to verification and/or return.
Returns figures create room for maneuver
The warehouse manager can use the dashboard to view the most important key returns figures, the most common reasons for returns and the returns rate - determined by item, customer, supplier and item group. The software provides a returns forecast for certain items.
CIM provides quarterly releases that have been tested for integration into the software.
