The fewer interfaces, the higher the system efficiency: The Nord DuoDrive integrates the highly efficient IE5+ synchronous motor into a single-stage spur gearbox and thus achieves one of the highest efficiencies on the market in this performance class at up to 92 %. Very high system efficiency is also achieved in partial load operation, making it future-proof and a real cost reducer. The constant motor torque over a wide speed range enables a consistent reduction in variants and operating costs. Together with simple plug-and-play commissioning, this results in a significant reduction in the total cost of ownership (TCO) compared to previous drive systems. DuoDrive is equally suitable for use in the food and pharmaceutical industries and in intralogistics.

Full compatibility with market standards

In addition to the high system efficiency, other important features are the smooth, unventilated and compact design as well as the smooth running with minimal noise emissions. As many wearing parts are no longer required, maintenance costs are also reduced. The patented geared motor is now available up to an output of 3 kW with a continuous torque of up to 250 Nm and speeds of up to 1,000 ^rpm and covers gear ratios from i=3 to i=18. Market-compatible connection dimensions facilitate replacement and integration into existing system designs.

Like all products in the Nord portfolio, the DuoDrive is also compatible with Nord drive electronics and can be equipped with all standard hollow shaft dimensions (20 to 40 mm) as well as flange versions (B5 and B14) or a torque arm. Depending on customer requirements, Harting HAN connectors, M12 circular connectors or a terminal strip are provided for the motor connection. Various options such as encoder feedback or a holding brake are also possible with the DuoDrive. Thanks to its design and operation on a frequency inverter, the DuoDrive can be used universally worldwide with the same motor variant.

Innovative geared motor in hygienic wash-down design

As it is easy to clean, corrosion-resistant and wash-down capable, the DuoDrive is also suitable for use in hygiene-sensitive and harsh environments and ensures higher system availability and lower cleaning costs thanks to reduced cleaning effort.
