Hathout, an experienced company leader, replaces Walter Vahey, who will remain available to the company as a consultant until his planned retirement in 2024. Jean-Pierre Hathout most recently served as President of SIT Controls USA. Prior to that, he worked at Bosch for 17 years, including several international management positions, and was responsible for the successful integration of several companies acquired by Bosch. He holds a PhD in mechanical engineering from MIT and has deep technological knowledge and leadership skills on a global scale, including managing companies in the US, Germany, the Netherlands, Turkey and China. "This unique balance of leadership and technical strengths will make Jean-Pierre a great leader for MiR as the company continues to grow and emerge as the global leader in Autonomous Mobile Robots," said Vahey.

In his role as an advisor to Hathout, Vahey will ensure a smooth transition of business expertise and leadership. "My retirement has been planned for some time. We are excited to have Jean-Pierre join the MiR team to lead the company to further growth," said Vahey. Vahey has been President of MiR since October 2022 and was instrumental in leading the company's merger with AutoGuide Mobile Robots. Prior to that, he held leadership positions at MiR's parent company, Teradyne, for 37 years. The company's current strategy will continue as planned under Hathout's leadership. "I am grateful for the opportunity to join MiR. The company is an innovative market leader in the field of Autonomous Mobile Robots. I am eager to pursue the strategic goals for MiR's growth, with a focus on expanding the portfolio and strengthening relationships with MiR's global customers," said Hathout. He currently resides with his family in Charlotte, North Carolina. Hathout will relocate to Odense, Denmark, and spend half of his time at MiR's headquarters and periodically in Boston, Massachusetts, where MiR's parent company, Teradyne, is located.
