Markus Schmermund becomes Chief Commercial Officer at idealworks
The deep tech company idealworks is appointing Markus Schmermund as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) with effect from September 1, 2024. In this newly created position, he will be responsible for managing all commercial activities and will continue to drive the company's growth and market presence.
Schmermund brings a wealth of expertise and strategic vision to idealworks: he has over two decades of experience in the automation and intralogistics industry. Most recently, as Vice President Product Management Automation & Intralogistics Solutions at the Kion Group, he played a key role in driving innovation. His professional career includes senior positions at well-known companies such as Kion ITS EMEA, a member of the Kion Group, and the SSI Schäfer Group. His broad background in management consulting and enterprise solutions makes him ideally suited to drive the commercial strategy of idealworks.
