Michael Larsson new Dematic President since January

On January 1, Michael Larsson took over the position of President at Dematic and was simultaneously appointed to the Executive Board of the Kion Group.

He succeeds Hasan Dandashly, who has retired. As a member of the Executive Board, the former will also take over the management of Kion's Industrial Truck Segment (ITS) for North and South America. At the same time, he will be responsible for the Dematic North and South America region.

Larsson has 35 years of experience in industrial automation and robotics and has a proven track record as a strategic business leader with a focus on customers and employees. Most recently, as Executive Vice President of Dematic's Americas region, he was responsible for accelerating growth and promoting a market-leading presence in the US, Canada, Mexico and South America. Over the past three years, as head of the Americas region, he successfully led the company through complex challenges during the Covid-19 pandemic as well as the historic e-commerce surges of 2021 and 2022.

Prior to joining Dematic, Larsson was senior vice president and general manager of ABB's Automotive business unit. During his more than 30 years with the technology group ABB, he has also held increasingly senior management positions, including finance director and divisional director on four continents. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the School of Economics at Stockholm University in Sweden.
