Marnix Lannoije heads Cargobull Telematics
The former Head of Electric & Electronic System Engineering - Products at Schmitz Cargobull AG, Marnix Lannoije, also took over the management of the Schmitz Cargobull subsidiary Cargobull Telematics on April 1. In this function, the Belgian-born manager succeeded Marco Reichwein, who left the company at the end of March.
By combining the specialist areas of system engineering, telematics and full service, Schmitz Cargobull is deliberately focusing on technical and business synergy effects from a single source in order to drive forward not only the data business, but also the further development of practical trailer functions.
After completing his studies (Master's degree in electro-mechanics/mechatronics), the now 44-year-old worked on development projects for Tyco Electronics, Audi and Bombardier Transportation, among others. In January 2019, Marnix Lannoije joined Schmitz Cargobull AG as Head of Electrical & Electronic Systems Engineering. In his role, he has driven forward the development of the S.CUe electric refrigeration unit, battery packs and an electric axle with generator in the field of digitalization and electromobility. "We are delighted that Marnix Lannoije, after his dedicated development work in the field of electric drives and mobility, is now also taking on responsibility at Cargobull Telematics and further expanding the corresponding digital services," says CEO Andreas Schmitz. In his previous role, he has already maintained an intensive exchange with the product managers and the development department of the telematics subsidiary. As a father of four children, Marnix Lannoije devotes most of his free time to his family and renovating an old farm.
