Krones Managing Director Aloys Schnelte bids farewell to retirement
Aloys Schnelte (65), Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Krone Commercial Vehicle Group, has now officially retired after almost 30 extremely successful years with the Krone Group. The graduate in business administration has been working for Krone since 1991; initially he was Head of Controlling at the machine factory, but from 1999 his responsibilities were extended to the Krone commercial vehicle division and he took over as Head of Controlling for the Krone Group. When the new Krone Commercial Vehicle Group was founded in 2016, Aloys Schnelte was appointed Managing Director; in this role, he has been responsible for the commercial area and overall personnel of the Commercial Vehicle Group in recent years.
"Aloys Schnelte has played a key role in shaping the fortunes of Krone over the past three decades - even under my father's management - and we are very grateful to him for this. With great expertise, exemplary prudence and an exemplary sense of responsibility, he has had an extremely valuable influence on the positive development of the Krone Group, most recently as CFO of the Commercial Vehicle Group. In addition, with his objective, content-focused style, he also shaped the working methods and behavior of his employees. We all wish him many healthy and happy years with his family in his well-earned retirement," said Bernard Krone.
Aloys Schnelte thanked the Krone family, his management colleagues, the various teams, the works council and the workforce for an extraordinarily enjoyable and successful time. "For me, the customers have always come first; their wishes and suggestions continue to have top priority at Krone. But the cooperation between the workforce and the management on an equal footing was also very important to me in my day-to-day work; a company always works best when everyone works together to tackle groundbreaking issues and move the company forward together."
Following the departure of Aloys Schnelte, Dr. Stefan Binnewies will take over the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at the Krone Commercial Vehicle Group as planned. Dr. Binnewies has been coordinating activities in the commercial vehicle sector as a member of the Krone Holding Executive Board since 2019. Bernhard Brüggen acts as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Alfons B. Veer as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) on the Board of Directors of the Krone Commercial Vehicle Group.
