Nosta Group: Christian Böttcher new COO Air & Ocean

On August 1, 2025, Christian Böttcher took over the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) Air & Ocean at the Nosta Group. He succeeds Ivo Aris, who stepped down from his position as COO Global Air & Ocean and member of the Nosta Group Executive Board for personal reasons on July 31.

"With Christian Böttcher, we are gaining an internationally experienced logistics manager with more than 25 years of management experience in global forwarding and logistics companies," says Nicolas Gallenkamp, CEO and owner of the NOSTA Group. Böttcher's career has included positions at Leschaco, UTi Worldwide, Röhlig Logistics and most recently Atlantic Forwarding. There he was responsible for comprehensive reorganization and transformation projects with proven financial success.

"On behalf of the Executive Board and the entire organization, I would like to thank Ivo Aris for his commitment, his strategic foresight and his valuable contributions during a crucial phase of change for our company. We are now delighted to have gained Christian Böttcher as a new high-profile leader for the further development of our Air & Ocean Unit. He brings in-depth operational expertise, international market knowledge and strong transformation skills - ideal prerequisites for strategically expanding our global sea freight and air freight business," says Gallenkamp.

In the course of his career, Böttcher's responsibilities have included the global Ocean Freight organization of an international group and the management of regional subsidiaries with several hundred employees. Christian Böttcher says: "I deliberately chose the Nosta Group because, as a family-run company, it not only propagates values such as reliability, responsibility and entrepreneurial foresight, but also lives them every day - and is already in its second generation. In my discussions with Nicolas Gallenkamp, I quickly realized that we share a very similar understanding of leadership and development. I am therefore all the more pleased to be able to accompany and further develop a company with this culture and substance in the coming years."
