Mues can look back on thirty years of experience in logistics. For the past 13 years, he was Head of Production and a member of the Executive Board at SBB Cargo, the freight division of Swiss Federal Railways. Prior to that, he held various management positions, including Director of Logistics and Informatics at Roche Consumer Health and Supply Chain Manager at Sanofi, based in Paris and Cologne. He holds degrees from the University of St. Gallen and the Cologne University of Applied Sciences.

The new appointment to the position of COO at Imperial Logistics International is part of a program to rationalize the currently geographically dispersed business of many highly specialized subsidiaries in business areas such as hazardous materials storage, automotive logistics, chemical transport and inland shipping.
