Lee I'Ons brings 30 years of experience in logistics in Asia, the Middle East and Africa. He started his career in ocean freight in Durban before joining Kuehne+Nagel. Over the past 26 years he has held various leadership roles, most recently as National Manager Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and President of Middle East and Africa.

IMEA region strategically important for Hellmann

In his new role, he and his team will build on the strong regional development of recent years and continue to drive growth in the rapidly developing IMEA region. Today, with around 2,000 employees in 14 emerging countries such as India, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, as well as the African continent and six joint ventures, this is an important growth driver for Hellmann.

"With Lee, we have gained a proven logistics expert for Hellmann who will successfully develop this strategically important region. Today we are the market leader in IMEA, for example in the automotive and pharmaceutical industries, and together with Lee we will build on the strong foundation that Madhav and his team have created. Our declared goal is to continue to grow in this up-and-coming region in the coming years," says Jens Drewes, CEO of Hellmann Worldwide Logistics.
