Hapag-Lloyd: Maximilian Rothkopf new member of the Executive Board

Maximilian Rothkopf has been appointed to the Management Board of Hellmann Worldwide Logistics with effect from May 1st. He succeeds Anthony J. Firmin, who will retire on June 30, as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) at the beginning of July.

Maximilian Rothkopf, who holds a doctorate in business administration, has been a partner at McKinsey & Company and a member of the global Travel, Transportation and Logistics (TTL) leadership team since 2014. "With Maximilian Rothkopf, we are bringing on board a proven and internationally experienced logistics expert who is familiar with Hapag-Lloyd and has already provided the company with many strategic impulses during his time as a consultant over the past three years. We are very much looking forward to working with him," said Michael Behrendt, Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Hapag-Lloyd. He also thanked Anthony J. Firmin for his enormous commitment. For more than two decades, he had continuously contributed to the company's success, among other things through his indispensable contributions to the implementation of two mergers and the IPO during his five years on the Executive Board. Other members of the Hapag-Lloyd Executive Board are Chairman Rolf Habben Jansen (CEO), Chief Financial Officer Nicolás Burr (CFO) and Joachim Schlotfeldt (CPO), who is responsible for Human Resources and Global Purchasing.
