Von Bomhard continued: "We thank Frank Appel for being available for the orderly transition. In more than 13 years at the helm, he has achieved outstanding things for Deutsche Post DHL Group. Frank Appel has turned the company into a leading global logistics provider that connects people and markets and is a pioneer of global trade. Under Appel's leadership, the company has gone from record to record, and Deutsche Post DHL Group owes him a great deal."

Dr. Frank Appel: "After careful consideration, I have decided not to stand for another full term of office. I am doing so in the full knowledge that Deutsche Post DHL Group is led by an outstanding management team and supported by a highly motivated workforce. Tobias Meyer is a top manager and a great colleague. Under his leadership, Post & Parcel Germany has achieved a turnaround. I couldn't wish for a better successor."

As part of the transition, Tobias Meyer will take over the Global Business Services Group function from Frank Appel in July 2022 and hand over the position as Head of the Post & Parcel Germany division to Nikola Hagleitner, currently Head of Sales Post & Parcel Germany. Hagleitner has been with the Group since 2005 and has worked in three of Deutsche Post DHL Group's five divisions. In addition, the Supervisory Board has extended the contract of Oscar de Bok, Board of Management member responsible for the DHL Supply Chain division, by five years until September 30, 2027.
