Packaging by Quadient: Automated packaging solution for 1,100 parcels per hour
Packaging technology specialist Packaging by Quadient will be showing examples of applications with the new automated packaging system "CVP Everest".
The solution, which was launched in 2020, measures, cuts, folds, glues and labels up to 1,100 customized transport boxes per hour. With this system, the manufacturer is targeting shippers with high parcel volumes. The company also has the solution's smaller sister, the "CVP Impack", in its trade fair luggage. It produces up to 500 perfectly sized parcels per hour and is particularly suitable for medium-sized companies. A business case can be made from a shipping volume of 800 parcels per day. "More and more consumers are annoyed by parcels that are too large and contain a lot of air. This is neither sustainable nor cost-effective. Shippers who send precisely tailored transport parcels not only make their customers happy. They also save money and protect the environment. Fluctuations in demand and the increasing shortage of labour also speak in favour of using intelligent, automated packaging systems," emphasizes Claus Weigel, International Senior Sales Manager for the DACH region at Packaging by Quadient.
