Flexible robot systems
At Interpack, Fanuc demonstrated how safe and easy it is to implement automation solutions for the packaging industry using numerous applications from the areas of pick & place, sorting, packaging and palletizing.
In addition to Delta and SCARA robots, compact and versatile robots for warehousing and high-performance vision systems, visitors were also able to see the company's cobots in action, as the trend towards frequently changing products and batch sizes has long since arrived in all areas of the packaging industry. The solutions therefore require flexible systems that can process changed orders quickly and without long changeover times, even at short notice.
"With our Delta robots and our 3D vision system, a wide variety of products can be packaged on a single line. If robots with food-safe lubricants are used, automation can also work in primary packaging for food," says Michael Schüpbach, Sales Coordinator Food Market at Fanuc Europe.
