Ubimax, provider of augmented reality (AR)-based wearable computing solutions, and KNAPP subsidiary ivii, expert in vision picking and intelligent image processing, announce their strategic collaboration.

The international cooperation is strengthened by the exclusive license for the ivii vision picking patent, which is now licensed with Ubimax' xPick to direct and indirect Ubimax customers. This provides ivii and Ubimax vision picking customers with full legal security. The two companies expect the cooperation to result in even faster and broader market penetration by combining the two partners' practical vision picking experience.

"We are delighted about the strategic partnership with ivii as a recognized pioneer in vision picking and image recognition technology. Together we are even stronger and can offer mobile workers in industrial and logistics companies worldwide the support they deserve," comments Jan Junker, Chief Commercial Officer at Ubimax, on the partnership. Wolfgang Ferk, Managing Director of ivii GmbH, adds: "The partnership takes the solutions of both companies to the next level of evolution. A win-win situation not only for Ubimax and ivii, but above all for the large joint existing customer base and future customers." ivii was founded in April 2016 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Knapp AG. Ubimax is a provider of industrial, augmented reality-based wearable computing solutions that improve cross-industry business and work processes based on new wearable computer technologies.
