Economic survey
We will continue to develop
Our eleven for 23: In the exclusive survey by materialfluss, eleven experts assess where the journey is heading this year. Matthias Magnor, COO of BLG LOGISTICS, is one of them.
I am an optimistic person and agree with Friedrich Schiller: "He who dares nothing must hope for nothing." At BLG Logistics, we have seized the opportunities presented by the pandemic and initiated many changes that make us robust, adaptable and fit for the future - even in times of multiple crises. However, we continue to face a volatile market environment. In order to meet these challenges, we are increasingly addressing issues such as flexibility, digitalization, automation and sustainability.
I believe that we live in a world that, despite all the problems we have to deal with, is changing in such a way that we can benefit from it socially and entrepreneurially. We will continue to develop and move into new fields in which we may grow. However, this also means that we will lose business or actively part with business relationships if they are not viable for us. That is also courage for me. The BLG Group returned to profitability last year. The consequences of the global crises will not remain without economic impact, which is why our economic expectations for 2023 are rather subdued.
