An outward glance at the geopolitical situation and economic outlook promises challenging times. Crises, wars, labor shortages, energy - the business climate cools down towards winter and all surveys point to a fragile economic situation.

The outlook will not initially improve in 2023, as the energy crisis, interest rates and inflation will keep us busy for longer. However, I also expect politicians and the economy to work together on solutions in 2023 and the outlook to become much more positive at the end of 2023 and in 2024. Looking inwards, we will focus on our strengths with our great employees and our portfolio and continue to implement our strategic expansion with determination in 2023. Logistics is stable despite the disruptions in the supply chains - the integration of partners into the supply chain is becoming increasingly important. We will probably feel the effects of the energy crisis in conjunction with high inflation until the winter of 2023/2024, which is why we are not expecting a scenario of a rapid economic upturn.
