Mail for Amazon
I now order most of the things I need from you because you have everything on offer and it's so easy. For example, when I remember that we're out of kitchen rolls, I click on One-Click-Buy and the DHL man rings my doorbell tomorrow. Practical. Just like the other day when I ordered toilet paper from you. But tell me, dear Amazon, why is the box you sent me this in almost twice as big as the 24 rolls? And why was the empty space stuffed with plastic bubble wrap? I'm sure it was only because you took great care to ensure that nothing really happened to the toilet paper on the way, that no corners were chipped or that it didn't tear if the DHL man was too rough. Or was it? Maybe it's also because you don't tell your employees which box size they should use for which order, even though you can easily calculate that? After all, you can also calculate when I should get a new delivery of toilet paper and what other customers who have looked at toilet paper have bought. Maybe the colleague who was laboriously counting the rolls didn't really look at what he was doing and which box he had to take because he was so stressed? But it was similar with other orders! Two towel hooks for the bathroom in a shoebox-sized package, a plastic cutting board in a box that would have fit 24 rolls of toilet paper - both stuffed with plastic air cushions. Thanks to your care, I spent Saturday at the recycling center because the garage was full of rubbish. Dear Amazon, you are so good at arithmetic. Calculate how many fewer courier cars would be on the road, how many tons of plastic and corrugated cardboard you would save if you had your box sizes under control. But maybe it's just your flat rate with Hermes and the like that makes you comfortable? I also have a tip for you, dear courier services: just charge by volume! What do you think you'll earn! Just a thought.

PS: Why do I order toilet paper from Amazon even though I drive past three discount stores with huge parking lots every day? Hmm...
