Zufall and Sartorius logistics center to be expanded
Two years after the inauguration of the Zufall and Sartorius logistics center in the Siekanger industrial estate (near Göttingen), the new logistics site is being significantly expanded. In view of the strong growth at Sartorius, the area is to be increased by around two thirds to around 25,000 square meters in future. The Zufall logistics group is investing around five million euros in the expansion. Zufall has already begun preparations for construction; completion is planned for summer 2017. The logistics center will continue to be operated by Distribo GmbH, a company founded in 2003 in which Zufall holds 74 percent of the shares and Sartorius 26 percent. "The expansion supports Sartorius' growth targets," explains Volker Niebel, member of the Sartorius Group Executive Committee. "Our customers in the biopharmaceutical industry place high demands on reliable supply chains and adherence to delivery dates."
