Smart interfaces
IT and data specialist Timocom will be presenting modern interface technologies, so-called "Smart APIs", at LogiMAT.
The "Smart APIs" form the bridge between Timocom's Smart Logistics System and its customers' transport management and tracking systems.
Customers benefit from optimized workflows and increased transparency in the transport process. "Our Smart APIs transport orders, freight exchange and tracking eliminate typical problems in the work processes of our system users before they even arise. They are highly effective components of a digitally supported supply chain that result in significant cost savings and increased efficiency," explains Philipp Schmidt, Strategic Product Manager at Timocom.
Reduce sources of error, communicate better
Timocom's Smart APIs replace manual data transfer, among other things, which reduces sources of error and saves time. The interfaces are also designed to automatically process relevant information in the contractor's national language. Communication hurdles are thus overcome.
Real-time visibility thanks to GPS data
GPS data from 256 connected telematics systems can also be integrated into the Smart Logistics System. This increases real-time visibility in the transport chain. This means process optimization and greater planning reliability for everyone involved. For example, the transmitted position data can be compared with the agreed delivery time and used as the basis for calculating an ETA.
