Founders and start-ups are supported with capital, industry experience and resources. Schenker Ventures will bundle and expand DB Schenker's existing corporate venture activities and related investments. In addition, Schenker Ventures will work with Berlin-based agency MVP Factory to create a venture studio that combines entrepreneurial freedom with the strength of an established global partner.

Jochen Thewes, CEO of DB Schenker: "We want to be the driving force behind new ideas in the logistics industry. And we want to shape the future in a digital and climate-friendly way. Schenker Ventures will unleash the innovations that are important for this through entrepreneurial freedom, creativity and determination. As a strategic initiative alongside our day-to-day business, Schenker Ventures will be closely interlinked with DB Schenker, but is deliberately not located within the company itself. A new chapter is now beginning for start-ups in the logistics industry."

Patric Hoffmann, Head of Schenker Ventures: "We at Schenker Ventures have a guiding principle: great ideas need entrepreneurial freedom. That's why founders must retain control over their company. To achieve this, we want to create an environment in which they retain ownership and full strategic freedom. As an experienced company with an extensive network, we can support founders with capital, supply chain expertise, logistics infrastructure and contacts to exciting customers worldwide."
