Digital tool revised
New start for Drive4Schenker platform
DB Schenker has revised its Drive4Schenker tool to enable a more straightforward and proactive exchange with transport service providers. New options for receiving offers are intended to improve interaction with carriers.
Following a successful pilot deployment of the platform at selected locations, the tool is currently being rolled out to 250 DB Schenker land transportation hubs in Europe.
Christian Drenthen, Member of the Management Board for Land Transport at DB Schenker: "There is a simple rule in logistics: a fully loaded truck increases efficiency and conserves resources - in terms of time, socially and ecologically. Nobody wants empty freight space or empty kilometers. To meet these industry challenges, we have significantly improved our Drive4Schenker digital platform. Haulage companies will benefit from the new and simpler way of working with us and customers will gain greater transparency about their shipments. Over the past few months, everyone involved in our organization has truly shown the courage to completely rethink Drive4Schenker."
With the renewed tool, freight forwarders can fill their trucks with just a few clicks. After registering online, preferred routes and load types can be specified. Relevant haulage companies receive exclusive offers by e-mail. DB Schenker dispatchers and partner carriers retain control of their business, while the tool facilitates their interaction.
