Market entry of Cargoboard in Spain and Portugal

Since this fall, the digital freight forwarder Cargoboard has been offering its transport services to customers on the Iberian Peninsula. With local partners such as CBL Logística and Salvat Logística, the platform already organized more than 350 shipments in October, the launch month.

"The step into the market on the Iberian Peninsula represents a logical development of our growth plans. Transports to and from Spain and Portugal, as well as within both countries, are in high demand from shippers for individual orders or regular transports," explains Lukas Petrasch, founder and CEO of Cargoboard. "With our modern booking platform and the high-quality services of our local partners, we also score points with customers between Barcelona in the east and Lisbon in the west."

Local expertise through partnerships with local haulage companies

CBL Logística and Salvat Logística contribute local expertise through the partnership. Pau Llopis, Director at CBL Logística, sums it up from the haulage companies' point of view: "The partnership with Cargoboard is an important boost for our path into the future. Cargoboard offers a user-friendly and at the same time state-of-the-art IT platform. With its focus on the requirements of the European transport market, we believe we are very well positioned thanks to this cooperation."

Customers booking via Cargoboard can place orders, track their shipments in real time and benefit from transparent pricing. The personalized customer service is available in Spanish and Portuguese.

Africa Narbona Gil, who has been supporting Cargoboard as International Strategy Manager since 2024, believes she is well equipped for the tasks ahead: "We see a lot of potential for further growth on the Iberian Peninsula, but also throughout Europe. With 80 partners across the continent and our state-of-the-art platform, we will continue to change the logistics industry."
