Management Board contracts of Andreas Busacker and Andreas Klein extended until 2022

Horstmar, 08.08.2017 - The Supervisory Board of Schmitz Cargobull AG has prematurely extended the Management Board contracts of Andreas Busacker (Finance) and Andreas Klein (Operations) by a further five years. Both have been active on the company's Management Board since 2015.
"Andreas Busacker and Andreas Klein have proven themselves as absolute professionals in their respective areas of responsibility," says Prof. Dr. Jürgen Kluge, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Schmitz Cargobull AG. "We are therefore delighted that we were able to extend both contracts at an early stage and thus ensure long-term continuity in management."
The Supervisory Board confirmed the extension of the Management Board mandates at the meeting on June 20, 2017. "The Management Board under the chairmanship of Andreas Schmitz has successfully mastered the first full financial year following the generational change," emphasized Prof. Dr. Jürgen Kluge, Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
Financial expert Andreas Busacker (52) initially studied industrial engineering at Darmstadt Technical University and completed several study visits to the USA. From 1991 to 1996, he was Head of Capital Markets, Risk Management and Investor Relations at Wella AG. He then moved to Nordenia International AG, which has been part of Mondi AG since 2012, as Head of Finance. From 2005, Andreas Busacker was Chief Financial Officer with responsibility for Finance, Legal, Tax, Controlling and IT, among other things. He moved to Schmitz Cargobull in April 2015.
After graduating as a mechanical engineer, Andreas Klein (51) initially worked as a consultant in management consulting. In 1998, he moved to the technology company ZF Lemförder Chassis Technology and headed the plant development in the Commercial Vehicle Chassis Technology business unit at the Lancaster, South Carolina location. Subsequently, Andreas Klein was responsible for quality management for the ZF Lemförder Group and promoted process consulting. He gained his first experience in China in 2006. There he restructured a passenger car component production facility and most recently headed the regional division Passenger Car Axle Systems Asia Pacific. Andreas Klein joined Schmitz Cargobull AG as a member of the Management Board in January 2015.
The five-member Management Board team also includes Roland Klement (Research/Development) and Boris Billich (Sales).
