Logistics service providers: Logistics Initiative Hamburg appoints new managing director

Logistik-Initiative Hamburg (LIHH) has undergone a structural reorganization, including the appointment of Carmen Schmidt as its new sole Managing Director. In order to position LIHH sustainably for the future and reduce existing duplicate structures, the establishment and development of Logistik-Initiative Hamburg Management GmbH has been driven forward in recent months.

"The changed framework conditions for the logistics industry require the initiative to realign itself not only organizationally but also in terms of content," explained Carmen Schmidt, "I am delighted that the Supervisory Board has placed its trust in me to successfully manage this challenging task of shaping the future of LIHH."

About the Hamburg Logistics Initiative

Logistik-Initiative Hamburg Management GmbH is a public-private partnership whose role is to further expand the position of the Hamburg metropolitan region as one of the leading logistics metropolises in Northern Europe and to network logistics-related companies and institutions. The Supervisory Board therefore has an equal number of three municipal and three private sector representatives.
