ID Logistics manages distribution center for Kawasaki Motors Europe

ID Logistics has signed a 10-year contract with Kawasaki Motors Europe NV and will take over the management of the new European distribution center. The 20,000 square meter distribution platform will be built in Tilburg in the Netherlands and will serve as Kawasaki's distribution center

for the whole of Western Europe. It will be fully managed by the contract logistics group ID Logistics and will go into operation in September 2016. The new distribution center concept, developed by ID Logistics for Kawasaki, already takes into account the regulatory changes regarding CO2 emissions that will come into force in 2017. From 2017, a register will provide insight into the entire value chain of the processing of each machine: from the chassis number to the name of the customer to the country of destination. ID Logistics has developed a video simulation tool to constantly monitor the location of the machines. The logistics contract will lead to the creation of around thirty jobs. After winning back the European distribution center of Sony in 2013 and Fujifilm in 2015, this new contract confirms the Netherlands as a key country for the further development of ID Logistics.
