As the central point of contact, her main task will be to promote the further networking of regional companies in order to encourage the exchange of experience and transfer of knowledge. At the same time, Jutta Oeltjendiers will contribute her expertise as a mediator between business and politics for the state of Lower Saxony.

The Network Companies Integrate Refugees was founded in 2016 as a joint initiative of the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK) and the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. More than 2,700 companies have now joined the nationwide network in order to jointly promote the training and employment of refugees in a practical manner. The concept of regional ambassadors was launched in 2019 to highlight regional characteristics from the vast wealth of experience of member companies and to build a network of experts who put labor market integration into practice and pass on their expertise to companies in the region. After one year, the regional ambassadors will appoint their successors in mid-2022.
