Introduction days
Group7 welcomes 32 new apprentices
32 trainees recently started their careers at logistics service provider Group7. The trainees came together at the company's Munich headquarters for two induction days to mark the start of their training.
The trainees visited a production facility for industrial trucks, followed the freight processes in the cargo area of Munich Airport and gained an insight into its carbon neutrality project. "Of course, we also presented our logistics processes at the GROUP7 logistics center in Schwaig and talked about our international just-in-time spare parts projects, for example," says Daniel Jocher, Head of Training at Group7 and organizer of the event.
"Infect with enthusiasm"
"Our aim was to infect the trainees with our own enthusiasm for logistics. At the same time, we wanted them to experience how diverse and full of ideas our company is," explains Günther Jocher, CEO of Group7.
All trainee positions filled in 2019
The trainee days are part of the HR concept with which Group7 aims to attract the best young talent and specialists and retain them in the company in the long term. The company is one of the most successful in the logistics sector when it comes to recruiting. Accordingly, the logistics service provider was able to fill all of the planned training positions. The training spectrum ranges from traditional forwarding and logistics services clerks to IT system integration specialists and dual business administration students.
Beer garden finale with the company management
At the end of the event, CEO Günther Jocher and Klaus Spielmann, Head of Corporate Development, took the opportunity to talk to the trainees personally in the beer garden and find out more about the expectations of the new employees. The appreciation was well received by the trainees. "The trainee event was a great start to my training. In addition to all the new impressions about Group7 and air freight handling at the airport, I also had a lot of fun with my new colleagues," says Anna-Lena Anzinger, trainee freight forwarding and logistics services clerk.
