Martinsried, 04.05.2017 - On April 6, the opening of the House Of Management Excellence, or H-O-M-E for short, took place in Martinsried near Munich. As part of the #InnovationDay, the H-O-M-E cooperation partners presented concepts from the field of production and logistics management that can be used to support companies' processes in the digital transformation.

The approximately 100 participants included representatives from renowned automotive and mechanical engineering companies as well as numerous production and IT experts. Under the umbrella of H-O-M-E, the Institute For Manufacturing Excellence (IMX), the non-profit Manufacturing Excellence (MX) network, the IT company PICA and the Production Management Institute (PMI) pool their expertise and offer a spectrum of production and logistics management, including information technologies and training and further education opportunities. On #InnovationDay, the cooperation partners presented a total of twelve innovations and introduced the guests to prototypes and the latest developments in the field of production logistics. The "Operational Excellence App" (OPX) developed by IMX offers the possibility of connecting all areas of the company in an integrated, process-related platform, while the "Supply Chain Monitor" analyzes short news reports worldwide in real time and thus reports early event identification for risk management. Meanwhile, the non-profit MX Network drew attention to the importance and relevance of cross-industry networking in times of digital transformation and presented, among other things, the "MX Dialogue Digital", which is a discussion forum aimed at reflection. The PICA "AppToDate" was presented as an IT solution that enables prompt feedback of working times for resource planning and invoicing in mobile working environments. The "Demand Driven MRP" concept, presented in cooperation with IMX and PMI, represents a new approach to planning and managing inventories. In addition to the H-O-M-E partners, the Munich-based start-up Motius also took part in this open day and presented application examples and prototypes for holo-lenses and virtual reality glasses. red
