Elemica takes over Eyefreight

Elemica has announced the acquisition of Eyefreight. With the acquisition of one of the world's leading providers of multimodal SaaS transportation management systems (TMS), the cloud-based Digital Supply Network expands its functional scope: thanks to the merger, Elemica customers can integrate transportation management functions into their supply chain.

With the combination of Elemica's Digital Supply Network and Eyefreight's TMS capabilities, the two companies offer their customers an overarching platform for multinational shipping optimization, freight processing and delivery. Users will be able to automate their entire supply chain processes and collaborate via the tool. Thanks to a network of freight forwarders and logistics service providers, Elemica and Eyefreight customers increase their multimodal transparency and optimize their processes.

"Eyefreight's SaaS TMS solution is characterized by the fact that it can be implemented particularly quickly, is suitable for all modes of transport and was developed specifically for freight forwarders who operate globally," says Rich Katz, CEO of Elemica, adding: "Our goal is to combine the most mature SaaS applications with our digital supplier network in order to offer an end-to-end supply chain platform that covers all future requirements in the long term. The acquisition of Eyefreight is another important building block in this process."

Gert Jan Jansen op de Haar, CEO of the TMS provider, explains why the merger is also an important step into the future for Eyefreight: "With the merger of Eyefreight and Elemica, we are creating synergies that enable our customers to call up transport capacities, analyze them optimally and acquire them. Thanks to the combination of our TMS solution with Elemica's Digital Supply Network, our customers have real-time access to a network of connected transport and logistics service providers."
