DB Schenker develops no-touch signature

DB Schenker's innovative no-touch signature is designed to enable secure documentation of goods delivery while maintaining the corona distance.

DB Schenker is now using the self-developed technology, which allows personal signatures to be exchanged at a distance of up to three meters, in various European countries, including Spain, Austria, Finland, Portugal and Sweden. The IT solution for contactless "Proof of Delivery" (POD) is already available in 12 languages and will soon be used for goods delivery throughout Europe.

How the technology works: the delivery person shows the recipient a digitally readable graphic, a so-called QR code, which the recipient scans with their own smartphone from a distance of up to three meters. This identifies the smartphone user as the recipient of the goods and opens the DB Schenker POD website
