Dachser expands business with industry solutions

Dachser has created the central organizational unit "Corporate Solutions, Research & Development" to drive forward the business with global, industry-driven logistics solutions and to bundle the logistics provider's research and development activities. The head of the new corporate unit is Dachser manager Stefan Hohm,

who has managed the logistics center in Hof for the past seven years. The 43-year-old reports to CEO Bernhard Simon and will work with his team to implement supply chains for customers from focus industries. The Corporate Unit also bundles Dachser's research and development activities.

Solutions for special industries

Dachser has already established two industry solutions in Europe: Dachser DIY-Logistics and Dachser Chem-Logistics together record around six million shipments per year. The two divisions will remain under the management of Ralf Meistes (DIY-Logistics) and Michael Kriegel (Chem-Logistics), but will be assigned to Corporate Solutions, Research & Development.
