Dachser Air & Sea Logistics certified for another pharma site
After Frankfurt, Mumbai and Hyderabad, Dachser has received pharmaceutical certification for a fourth location within ten months in Atlanta, further expanding its network expertise for its customers in the life sciences and healthcare sector.
At the end of 2018, Dachser had the branch at Frankfurt Airport certified according to the IATA standard CEIV Pharma (Center of Excellence for Independent Validators in Pharmaceutical Logistics), followed by the Indian offices in Mumbai and Hyderabad in the middle of this year. "With our locations in Germany, India and the USA, we can offer our services to our customers in the life science and healthcare sectors at the most important key locations worldwide," says Timo Stroh, Head of Global Air Freight at Dachser. "The certification ensures uniform processes and a compliant network and meets the highest service and quality standards. Customers benefit from safe, compliant and efficient air freight services."
IATA certification is an industry standard that meets the specific requirements of shippers of pharmaceutical products for safe, compliant and efficient air freight services. CEIV Pharma certification confirms that international standards and guidelines for the handling of pharmaceutical products are not only met, but exceeded, including Good Distribution Practices (GDP) of the European Union and the World Health Organization, US Pharmacopoeia requirements and IATA temperature control regulations.
